The Museum of Broken Relationships grew from a traveling exhibition revolving around the concept of failed relationships and their ruins. The Museum offers a chance to overcome an emotional collapse through creation: by contributing to the Museum’s collection.

Mestrovic is arguably Croatia’s most famous sculptor and artist. In the authentic ambience of his former home and atelier You can find his famous works: sculptures in marble, stone, wood and bronze reliefs, drawings and prints. His summer home in Split is a museum with numerous splendid sculptures, drawings, paintings and architectural plans.

The museum is of interest to numerous tourists who visit Cavtat because it is one of the few cultural institutions in this area. The museum drew attention soon after its opening because the most comprehensive collection of Bukovac’s works of art is presented in the house where the painter was born, where he had lived and worked.

ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM

Croatia has a long tradition of collecting and caring for monuments. Founded in 1820, the Archaeological Museum in Split is the oldest Museum in Croatia. There are more than 100,000 various items displayed in Zadar Archaeological Museum coming from all cultural and historical periods while the museum collection in Zagreb consists of more than 450,000 varied artifacts and monuments that have been gathered over the years from many different sources. On Vis island it is possible to visit the archaeological and ethnographical collection as well as the cultural and historical “Towards the homeland island of Vis museum” exhibition.
