Built in white Istrian stone and located across the Brijuni NP, in the immediate vicinity of the biggest Austro-Hungarian fort in this area, Stancija Meneghetti was a place where officers and their guests would come to rest, drink a glass of wine or eat good home-made cheese and dry-cured ham. After the fall of the Austria-Hungary, Stancija unfortunately ended up abandoned and forgotten. A new chapter in the history of Stancija began in 2001, when it was taken over and completely renovated. From 2013, Meneghetti has become a part of Relais & Chateaux chain.
